Outreach and Communication
Task 6.1 Masterclasses on flavour and neutrino physics. Organization and regular update of masterclasses event for
European high school students, based on real Belle II and T2K data. Software maintenance and activity innovation. Joint
project with SMEs.
Task 6.2 General public particle physics communication with visual tools. Exploit and update Belle II and Super-K virtual
reality platforms to show particle physics experiments to various types of public in general outreach events. Design and
setup small particle detector kits to measure cosmic muons or natural radioactivity in real time during outreach events.
Task 6.3 Support to KEK Summer School. Collaborate with KEK to organize a yearly Summer School for university
students (end of Bachelor, beginning of Master), fostering the participation of European students, contributing to lecture
program and hands-on activities.
Task 6.4 Joint European-Japanese PhD supervision. Training activity for PhD students involved in the project. A number
of 3 or more months secondments are reserved for European PhD students working in one of the beneficiary institutions.
They will allowed to develop their research program through a medium duration stay in the partner organizations, where a
co-tutorship will be provided. The hosting lab will provide also assistance for accommodation and for cultural integration
in Japan.
